Birchway Niagara Comedy Fundraiser

On Friday May 24th we are proud to return with our annual comedy fundraiser for Birchway Niagara (Formerly Women’s Place). Showcasing a hilarious all female lineup of top comics, we will be raising funds for all the amazing work Birchway Niagara do for our community.

Hosted by Niagara’s Deanna Jones (Suitcase in Point), the show will also feature the talents of Rebecca Hardy, Silvi Santoso, Heather Fudge and hilarious headliner Keesha Brownie, fresh off her performances at the Canadian Comedy Hall of Fame.

Keesha Brownie is a Toronto-based comic and multi-disciplinary artist with a global reputation. Her dynamic comedy material includes act-outs, parody songs, and sometimes even backup dancers. With her fierce work ethic and memorable stage presence, Brownie earned a Canadian Comedy Award nomination for Best Female Stand-Up in 2015. From there, she has made a name for herself across Canada, the United States, the Caribbean and the United Kingdom. You may recognize her from the She-Devil Comedy Festival in NYC, Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Kenny Robinson’s Nubian Disciples of Pryor Comedy Review, or as a pre-show act for Adam Sandler on his 100% Fresh Tour.

There will be amazing raffle prizes to be won, a 50/50 draw and tons of laughter to enjoy all for a great cause!

This is a 19+ event and will have a fully licensed bar on site. Doors open at 6pm with showtime at 7pm inside the beautiful theatre space The Green at the Suitcase in Point headquarters inside Oddfellows Temple at 36 Church Street.
